League of Legends: "Soul Fighter" Teaser - 2v2v2v2v2 Event

Get the latest on Riot Games' teased 2v2v2v2v2 "Soul Fighter" event for League of Legends. Exciting new gameplay mode is on the horizon!

Riot Games has recently unveiled an exciting teaser for the upcoming "Soul Fighter" in-game event in League of Legends. The teaser, which made its debut on the official League of Legends YouTube channel, provided a glimpse into the highly anticipated new mode called "2v2v2v2v2."

Based on the video, it seems that this mode will offer a unique blend of both arena-style gameplay and elements from the battle royale genre. Teams of two players will venture into a designated location, with the area gradually shrinking over time, creating intense and action-packed encounters.

Prior to the video release, Andrei "Meddler" van Roon, the vice president of the studio, shared some intriguing details about the mode.

  1. Teams will have the option to select the same champions, adding an intriguing twist to the gameplay dynamics.
  2. Players will have the ability to ban certain champions, keeping their opponent's picks hidden until the match begins.
  3. Such as Champion Mastery Points, Eternals, and Challenges, will not be initially integrated into this mode, focusing primarily on the unique gameplay experience it offers.

For eager players who can't wait to dive into the action, the "2v2v2v2v2" mode will be made available on the PBE (Public Beta Environment) server after June 28. The official release of the mode is planned for patch 13.14, scheduled to be launched on July 19. Alongside this exciting mode, the update will introduce a brand-new champion called Naafiri, a darkin assassin, further enriching the game's ever-evolving roster of champions.
