Hey, Tacticians! Patch 15.2 is here to kick off K.O. Coliseum with a bang. From new Opening Encounters to a reworked Rotating Shop and a slew of balance tweaks, this update is all about refining your strategy and keeping the arena hype. Let’s unpack the action-packed changes!
Rotating Shop: A New Spin
Patch 15.2 shakes up the Rotating Shop with experimental refresh rates:
- Options: Some players get 2-day, 7-day, or standard 14-day rotations.
- Impact: Faster rotations mean fewer items per refresh but more variety over the patch. All items remain available within 14 days.
This test aims to keep your shop exciting and tailored to your playstyle.
Power Ups: Smarter Choices
Power Ups get a usability boost:
- Bad-Luck Protection: Now applies only to the same champion, so using a Power Up on one unit doesn’t limit options for others.
- Goal: Makes tailoring your carry’s Power Ups more intuitive, removing clunky workarounds.
New Opening Encounters: Fresh Starts
Eight new Opening Encounters spice up early game:
- 3-Cost Start: Begin with a random 3-cost champion.
- Upgraded Start: Kick off with a 2-star 1-cost unit.
- Augment Round Swap: Augments appear earlier.
- Earlier Snax: Second Power Snax hits on Stage 2-6 (was 3-6).
- Beach Party: Toss a beach ball with Tacticians for some fun!
- Regal Rumble: Carousels get more competitors.
- Winner’s Circle: Top 4 players gain 10 gold and 2 component anvils.
- Grand Finals: A classic, unmodified TFT game.
Encounter odds are tweaked to reduce high-inflation ones, keeping loot balanced but thrilling.
System Tweaks
- 2-1 Round Timer: Back to 50 seconds (from 60) for quicker early decisions.
- Three-Star 5-Costs: No longer CC-immune, but Mana Regen up (20 to 25) for balance.
Trait Balance: Meta Shake-Up
Traits get fine-tuned to diversify comps:
- Crystal Gambit (3): Cashouts every 3 losses (was 4), Gems per loss down (18 to 11), Stage 3/4 multipliers up (115% to 125%, 150% to 185%).
- Crystal Gambit (5): Kill thresholds lowered (4/8/12/16/22), Flickerblade swapped for Lucky Item Chest + 10 gold.

- Edgelord (6): AD up (50% to 55%).
- Heavyweight (6): HP up (55% to 60%).
- Monster Trainer: Each Monster tracks XP separately, preserving levels when swapped.
