Hey, Valorant squad! Patch 11.04 is here, and it’s a tidy package of buffs, map swaps, and cool new features. From Sage getting some love to Abyss making a comeback, plus the ability to gift esports goodies, this update keeps the game sharp and spirited. Let’s break it down!
Sage and Chamber Get Buffed
Sage mains, it’s your time to shine! This patch leans into Sage’s Controller-Sentinel hybrid role, giving her more range to control the battlefield safely:
- Barrier Orb: Cast range extended from 10m to 15m.
- Resurrection: Range boosted from 6m to 12m, making clutch revives easier.
Chamber’s Trademark also gets a tweak:
- Trademark: Range restriction removed, offering more placement flexibility. (This accidentally went live in 11.02 but is now official!)
Other agent updates:
- Phoenix: New voice lines and Vyse interactions added.
- Sova: Hunter’s Fury VFX resolves faster, clearing up gameplay space.
Map Pool Shake-Up
The map rotation gets a refresh:
- Abyss: Back in Competitive and Deathmatch queues.
- Icebox: Out of Competitive and Deathmatch for now.
This swap keeps map strategies fresh and gives Abyss fans a chance to dive back in.
Gameplay Polish
Small but impactful changes improve clarity:
- Ping Audio: Less harsh, making minimap pings easier on the ears.
- AOE Ultimate Indicators: Ally zones now teal, enemy zones yellow. Destructible ultimates show ability icons on the minimap for better readability.
Esports Store Gifting
Show your VCT team pride! Gifting is now live in the esports store tab, letting you share team-themed items with friends. Perfect for rallying your crew to rep your favorite squad.
New Manila Server
Players in the Asia Pacific shard get a treat: a new server in Manila joins the lineup, improving connectivity and gameplay smoothness. That’s six servers total for the region—RAHHHHHHH!
Bug Fixes
This patch squashes several glitches:
- General: Fixed crosshair sway persisting after concuss effects during pilotable abilities (e.g., Cypher’s cam, Sova’s drone).
- Chamber: Removed lingering Trademark deactivation range on minimap.
- KAY/O: Fixed Zero/Point audio revealing exact enemy locations (patched in 11.02).
- Astra & Harbor: Bullet tracers no longer pass through Cosmic Divide or Cove.
- Phoenix & Tejo: Corrected wrong round-start voiceline when both are present.
- Neon: Fixed High Gear unequip delay skip via multiple key binds.
- Split: Molotov abilities now spread correctly up stairs.
- PC Only: Fixed character cutoff issues in Competitive and Premier Awards tab text for some languages.
Known Issue
After patching to Unreal Engine 5, resolution and display settings may reset on first play. Adjust them manually to your preference—no fix planned.
